Participation Requirements
Before any student can participate in tryouts/practice, the following requirements must be met:

Before any student can participate in tryouts/practice, the following requirements must be met:
- A parent/guardian must complete a Green Card (main office, athletic director's office, seasonal athletic meeting) - see below
- A student MUST turn in a copy of their most recent physical to the athletics office prior to the first day of practice.
- Physicals are good for 13 months from the date of the exam. Students with expired physicals will not be permitted to participate in practices or games until a new physical is turned in. IMPORTANT CHANGE TO PHYSICAL EXAM REQUIREMENTS: the MIAA has changed its requirements for students playing sports. Students must be covered by a physical exam for the ENTIRE season of sports participation.
- A student must submit either a user fee or the Athletic Fee Waiver to the Athletic office (mail or in person). Checks should be made payable to MURSD.
- Parent/guardian and the student-athlete are required to complete an online concussion course in the past 12 months. The free course can be competed online. See more information on concussions under Athletic Info - Concussions.
- All students and parents should be familiar with the Athletics Handbook. Download the Athletic Handbook under Athletic Info.
- All students must be declared academically eligible (see athletic student handbook) and reflect behavior of a good school citizen.
